A Sicilian Red Goes Well with Delia’s Lasagne

We did another Delia recipe – her take on meat lasagne.  Very pleasant too.   We opted for an Italian red, Sicily to be precise – Massivo Nero D’Avola 2007 from Sunday Times Wine Club.  Gently spiced blackcurrant and blueberry flavours according to them. We thought blackberries figured in the taste somewhere.  Sunday Times say the wine is a perfect match for pasta in a rich tomato and red wine sauce. We thought it was great with the lasagne.
