We had an Indian take away from Asha in Nailsea comprising Bengal Chicken and Lamb Tikka Balti with rice and naan. The Bengal Chicken was chicken pieces cooked in a slightly hot sauce with spring onions, bombay chillies, tomatoes & fresh herbs The Balti was cooked with Kashmiri spices, onions, tomatoes, peppers & fresh coriander. We both enjoyed the food.
We opened a bottle of Brancott Estate Marlborough New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc 2010 from Costco. It had a citrus nose and was fresh-tasting with gooseberries, grapefruit and tropical fruits. It was a very good match with both dishes. We love Sauvignons with curries.
