In my previous post about our visit to Georgia, the focus was on the local beer. This time it’s wine.
Our friends took us to one of their favourite Georgia wineries – Montaluce, which is close to Dahlonega in northern Georgia. Apparently the owners love the wines of Tuscany and the place has a distinctly Tuscan vibe.
Teresa and I shared a wine flight and a Cuban Sandwich, which is roast pork loin, gammon, pickle, goat cheese and dijon mustard. On a glorious summer day we sat on the restaurant terrace overlooking the vineyards and selected the Viognier, Pinot Grigio, Risata, Toscana and Nero d’Avola for the wine flight from this menu. Very atmospheric and enjoyable.
