We wanted a quick midweek meal and had Macaroni Neapolitan Style from Supercook. The macaroni was coated in a cooked tomato sauce containing oregano, basil and parsley, topped with Parmesan. A suggested pairing for dishes with a cooked tomato and basil sauce is Bianco di Custoza from Veneto in Italy. This white wine is a blend of Garganega, Trebbiano Toscana and Friulano grapes. Unfortunately we did not have a bottle, but we did have a Colombella Garganega Pinot Grigio 2009 from Sunday Times Wine Club. This crisp, refreshing, white had citrus flavours and suited the pasta sauce.
