We decided on one of our favourites – Meatballs in Tomato Sauce from Supercook, served with spaghetti. We know it’s following tradition , but we do like Italian reds with Italian cuisine, so we opened a bottle of Il Paperavo NV Red from Sunday Times Wine Club. This blend is described as having ripe black cherry flavours, well-rounded tannins, enlivened by acidity. We thought it was a perfect pairing. The cherry flavours and acidity worked so well with the tomato and herb flavours.
