We tried Yakhni Pulao from Supercook. They describe it as a Middle Eastern dish. However, recipes on the Internet say it’s from North India. We thought the ingredients suggested Indian origins. We tried a bottle of Finca el Cuento Syrah 2008, a Sunday Times Wine Club Spanish red from La Mancha. This is a medium-bodied, brambly and spicy wine that was a good complement to the spicy, curry-like dish.
