We enjoyed Tourte de Porc (French Pork Pie) from Supercook. This is a simple pie made with minced pork and fresh herbs – sage, parsley and chervil and we served it with a mixed green salad.
We paired it with a bottle of Martinez Bujunda Rioja 2008 a Spanish white from the Sunday Times Wine Club. The wine is made from the Viura grape and it was a beautiful deep gold. There were woody aromas accompanied by underlying citrus flavours with a creaminess from the oak. A very good bottle of wine and a fine match with the pork pie.
